It was an early start for our CEO, Ian Wienburg, and the crew from St10 Simon's Town this morning.
The SABC Morning Live show began at 6am from the very scenic setting of Boulders Beach, which forms part of the broader Table Mountain National Park. Boulders is also the site of the world famous colony of African penguins and it is one of the iconic images of South Africa as a tourism destination.Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk officially kicked off the 2010/2011 summer holiday season for both international and domestic tourists by thanking all South Africans for their warm hospitality and for so successfully welcoming the world to our shores for the World Cup.Guests who were interviewed included NSRI, Shark Spotters, Life Saving WP, SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) and Table Mountain National Parks.Special thanks to our unpaid volunteers from Simon's Town who were up at before 4am and braved the wind to be on the water as a backdrop to the interviews.
