For those of us in striking distance of Hermanus here is a good idea for a day trip:Station 17, Hermanus, has a Sea Rescue Tea Day, at at their station in the new harbour, every first Sunday of the month from 10 to 12 noon. Join them for a cup of java or rooibos tea and something nice to eat. The added bonus is meeting the crew and of course the lovely ladies serving you.The funds raised from this venture are used to maintain and upkeep the rescue craft, their station and the slipway. The support of the public and business is essential in providing this volunteer service with the equipment needed for Sea Rescues.
