The 3rd annual Link Festival will take place on the weekend of 29 -31 October 2010 at the Old Harbour in Gordons Bay. Organised by the aquatic clubs in the Helderberg basin, it is in aid of NSRI Station 9.Our base was established over 40 years ago and in this time the station has saved 225 lives and assisted 2013 persons in distress. By attending this festival you can help Sea Rescue as well as have a good time.There will something for everyone to enjoy. Join the opening night 18:00 on Friday 29 October at Gordon's Bay Yacht Club. We will kick off at 19:00 with a wine auction, and at 20:00 the much anticipated Miss Link pageant will be fun to watch.Saturday morning will see the early birds in the inshore fishing competition, and at 09:00 the Navy will take on the NSRI and Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club in the Dinghy Race.Entry forms for the Miss Link Pageant and the “Anything that floats” raft race are available at Barbaydos, The Tavern and Gordons Bay Yacht Club, or download them from the Festival website. Entry fees for all the event are only R50 which goes towards the NSRI, raffle tickets are also available at R50 and hourly draws will be held where you can win your share of over R60 000 worth of prizes. ( Raffle tickets are available at the bar and NSRI).
