The brand new 6,5 metre 'Spirit of the Vines', sponsored by Rotary Newlands and Rotary Table Bay, was delivered to NSRI Melkbosstrand this weekend. Amidst much excitement, she had a good run in the bay and then across Table Bay to Oceana Power Boat Club. As her engines are being run in, no high speed work was done but the coxswains who helmed her all said they were most impressed. She will be on show to the public at the Cape Town Boat Show from the 8th October and will be officially launched on the 7th October at the V&A Waterfront.
