When BOE very kindly sponsored a trip to the sea for the children of Twee Jongengezellen farm school –their WaterWise educator Eoudia Erasmus agreed to accompany them. Although it is outside of our normal NSRI duties,.the crew from St18 (Melkbos) took a day’s leave so that they could help manage the group and WaterWise arranged educational games. Clive from the local Wimpy generously supplied a Wimpy meal, coke, activity book and a balloon for each child and he personally served the children, stopping to have a chat to the excited youngsters as he went.“Dit was vir die plaaskinders 'n ongelooflike en onvergeetlike ervaring. Dit was werklik sommige kinders se eerste keer by die see!! Vir die wat al reeds by die see was, was dit nou weer die tweede of derde keer. Hoe gereeld kom hulle ooit by die see? Nee - dit bestaan nie vir hulle nie. Ek weet en ek glo dat dit vir die kinders 'n dag was, wat hulle altyd sal koester en altyd sal onthou!” Eoudia
