The main purpose of this role is to assist with the rollout project of new technology to the Call centre.

Vacancy: IT Technician – Call Centre PC Roll Out Project

Reporting to: IT Manager

Monthly Salary: R21 800

Duration: Fixed term 6 month contract (Project-based)

Purpose: The main purpose of this role is to assist with the rollout project of new technology to the Call centre.

Summary Of Duties: This will include but not limited to: Configuration of new hardware for staff to NSRI standards. Rolling out the software, user account set up, user training, asset management, administration and audit of machines rolled out in terms of CRM. Post project rollout support (floor walking). UAT, involvement in CRM. VOIP – assistance with configuration of the VOIP, cloud based and on premises (e.g. window settings, hardware setting). Ensure that the company staff, volunteers and stations are supported with any IT related queries.

  5. User Issues – day to day management of user issues

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • A+ Certification
  • Microsoft 365 (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Min 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Min 2 years desktop support experience
  • Exposure to hardware roll out projects,
  • Experience working with Microsoft products including Windows, Dynamics 365, Office 365 and SharePoint
  • Call center environment experience and NGO experience (Advantageous)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other ICT related products, e.g. VOIP
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. Team Viewer)
  • Ability to configure and maintain printers, local and network
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite
  • Dynamics 365 Advantageous
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
