At 11h50 on Thursday the 22nd September, NSRI Port Edward duty crew were asked to assist with an injury at an adventure camp close to Port Edward.
A Sea Rescue first aider, who was working close to the camp at the time, responded in his private vehicle and found a 27 year old woman semi-conscious, and on the ground, at the end of a zip line. He treated her for a possible broken left wrist as well as possible head and spinal injuries.
The woman is a teacher and part of a Pretoria school group being hosted at the adventure camp. She was transported to hospital by a private ambulance service in a stable condition.
