Executive Director: Fundraising
South Africa’s much loved charity intends appointing a Fundraising Director to lead the organisation to a new level. The primary function will be to develop and implement an effective fundraising strategy which supports the growing needs of the organisation and to motivate and guide the fundraising team to reach their goals. This responsibility will include the management of fundraising partners, corporate and individual giving campaigns, the legacy and bequest programme, fundraising events as well as conceptualising, developing and implementing new fundraising initiatives that support the strategic intent and the culture of the organisation. The candidate should have a relevant tertiary qualification, a proven track record of raising R30-R40m revenue per annum and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising or sales management.
A vacancy exists for a fundraiser to join our team to focus on corporate relationships – sponsorships and CSI. A proven track record in fundraising or corporate sales is essential. We are looking for a team player who is goal oriented and a self starter. The candidate should be comfortable presenting in a boardroom environment. This position will require travel.
Fundraising Administrator (EE)
This is a junior support function within the fundraising team. Responsibilities include data capture, donor liaison and development of fundraising proposals. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in MS Dynamics is a distinct advantage.
Personal Assistant (EE)
This is a secretarial function which includes travel bookings, office administration, minute taking, coordination of the company diary and relief reception work. Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to multitask in a stressful environment is essential.
Marketing and PR intern
An opportunity exists for a student to join our team in a part time capacity to gain practical experience during their studies. Exposure will be diverse and will include marketing, communications, media, social media, brand management, shows, exhibitions, basic layout and design, writing of media releases and feature articles, photography and videography.
