Rob Hill, CSA Safety Officer, wrote this lovely letter of thanks to Sea Rescue after our crews stood by during the Dusi canoe marathon:
On behalf of CSA, I extend my sincere thanks to you and your respective teams for their valuable presence, support, assistance and very enthusiastic participation during this 3 day epic. It was a an absolute pleasure to witness the paddler relief and peace of mind when they knew the “people in red” were down river. Be assured, for 95% of the race field, your presence is an absolute must, a real comfort, trust me. This year’s event was very much an indifferent one, with varied conditions being experienced, i.e. changing temps and river levels, daily. Your teams certainly adapted well and totally embraced the event with professional skills. Here’s looking forward to your continued support and presence going forward.
