National Incidents for Tuesday 24th July

THREE ANCHOR BAY: Paula Leech, NSRI Table Bay duty controller, said: At 09h31, Tuesday, 24th July, NSRI Bakoven and NSRI Table Bay duty crews were activated by the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) following reports of a boat washing ashore onto rocks at Three Anchor Bay and eye-witness reports of people on the casualty boat.

PORT ALFRED: Stephen Slade, NSRI Port Alfred deputy station commander, said: At 10h12, Saturday, 23rd June, NSRI Port Alfred medical crew assisted an adult male at Shelly Beach parking area. Locals honoured at Hermanus Awards Evening

Station 17 Hermanus hosted a small awards evening at their rescue base last night.  Letters of Appreciation were handed over to locals; Jaco Stemmet, Jolene Hughes and Athenkosi Dlavuza for their involvement in some brave rescues in Kleinmond and Hermanus. Crew were also presented with their Station Excellence Award and their Pat O Sullivan award
