Ranging in size from rescue runners to 8.5m inflatables and up to 13m self-righting all-weather rescue craft, the NSRI fleet of 72 rescue craft is equipped for both inland and offshore rescue situations. These boats can cost anything from R100 000 for the smaller craft and up to R7 million for the larger vessels.
The NSRI fleet operate all year round, day or night. The Institute’s craft are all-purpose designed and built to the highest standards, incorporating the best safety features and equipment available.
