Children get WaterWise at Kouga

Three WaterWise Yazi Ngamanzi Instructors have kicked off an intensive water safety programme sponsored by the Kouga Wind Farm in the Humansdorp area.

Yazi Ngamanzi means “know about water” and is the Sea Rescue water safety programme. We teach the children a simple lesson that is easy to remember and we encourage participation so that it is fun to learn.

The children loved the presentations and we were blown away by the positive response from the teachers.

Over the next nine days we will teach almost 10 000 children in Jeffreys Bay, St Francis, Oyster Bay and Humansdorp!

Drowning is one of the top five causes of accidental death in South Africa. Children are most vulnerable. The number of children who die from drowning each year would fill 10 school buses.

Vuyo Zondani @ Mzingizi Primary – she is doing presentations from class to class. She will teach 1250 children at this school.

Please make sure you visit our Talhado Montessori Pre-school in St Francis Bay. We have 60 aged 3 to 6 year old pre-schoolers who urgently need your message. Many thanks
