The refit of Mossel Bay’s Brede at Treetops Marine is very nearly complete. The engines have been tested and the last bit of electronic work needs to be finished off before she is ready to leave Treetops Marine to serve on Station 15. Hout Bay’s rescue boat’s spraying is complete, the engine shafts and thrust blocks are in and the engines will go in shortly. She should be back on station by the end of October.

Wow, look at the paintwork! Stunning finish. That should add a knot or 2 – and drop fuel consumption! Well done Treetops Marine and Mark for managing the project so well.
That finish is superb – our Life Boat Circle members will be able to admire her close up at our next Tea & Tour.
She looks beautiful
