Mossel Bay’s rescue boat refit steaming along:

Lyonesse was taken out of the water at RCYC.

Yesterday Lyonesse, which after her refit will become Rescue 15 and serve at Mossel Bay, was taken out of the water at Royal Cape Yacht Club and moved to Tree Tops marine in Kraaifontein. Her Electrical and interior woodwork was completed at Hout Bay’s rescue base and over the next few weeks her respray and refit will be completed at Tree Tops.

Arriving at Tree Top boat yard.

Lyonesse will undergo the final part of her refit next to Hout Bay's Spirit of MTU-Nadine Gordimer.

  1. Who knows, maybe the 2 Bredes will breed while they are together? Keep up the good work Tree Top Marine.

I wish that it was the finished product on the trailer. Mossel Bay is so anxious to get their new boat but we know it will be all worth while the wait. Thanks Tree Top for the good job you are going to be doing.

  3. We want to thank the NSRI for trusting us with your stunning boats.
We are going to refit them as if they are our own, we are going to use the best material/products and our best people to make them new and durable, for being a offshore skipper myself and the owner too, we understand the conditions under which these boats have to operate.
If you have any questions please email me. (jan@treetopsmarine.co.za)

Thanks Jannie. Those are most certainly the confirmation we like to hear. I’ll be coming down to Cape Town shortly and will make a point of it to come and visit you guys and see our boat. Keep up the good work!!
