WaterWise in Saulsville:

Ntsako Maluleka demonstrates to his grade how to do CPR.

Masizani Primary school is in the township of Saulsville, west of Pretoria. Fortune Sibiya, our WaterWise educator from Mamelodi, took advantage of the Gauteng schools re-opening from their 1st term holidays and taught the schools grade 4 to grade 7 children how to be safe near water.
The water-safety plan was taught to grade 4&5 because as it is easy for the young ones to remember. Fortune then taught the older grade 6&7s about being a mini rescuer, who to call in an emergency and bystander CPR. The children loved the workshop, Head Of Department, Mrs M.R Shibambo said that “the presentation was educational and interesting to learners.”

Masizane pupils all want to take part in the CPR demonstration!
